The objectives of this study were 1: to compare the efficacy of daily doses of 800UI D2 and D3 in healthy women >65years. 2: to evaluate the effectiveness of the administration of vitamin D, both in drops and tablets. Population and methods: 27 ambulatory women, mean age (X±SD) 77.1±6.8years in winter. Serum calcium, phosphorus, 25OHD, bone alkaline phosphatase and urine calcium/creatinine were evaluated at baseline and 7, 28 and 45days after supplementation with two daily regimens: G1: 800IU D3 (tablets) G2: 800IU D2 (drops). Statistics: SPSS 11.0 Chicago. IL, USA. Results: at baseline 25OHD levels (ng/ml) were similar in both groups (G1: 14.0±4.8 G2: 12.6±4.5; ns). 91.7% of the population showed deficient 25OHD levels ( (Source: Bone)
